COVID-19 UPDATE

UPDATE (6-17-20):

Dear Salt Creek Dental Family, We hope this e-mail finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. We are excited to announce that we have opened our practice again for regular dental care, including routine dental hygiene visits, effective immediately! Feel free to share the good news of this e-mail with your friends and family!

Over the past weeks many appointments had to be cancelled and re-scheduled due to statewide and county-wide public health orders related to COVID-19, we did our best to reach out to everyone affected. If we have not connected with you, we apologize, please call our office so we can schedule your appointment as soon as possible.

While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your health and safety. Our office follows the infection control recommendations from the American Dental Association, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. We are committed to ensuring that our infection control procedures are current and effective.

To ensure the safety of our patients and team, and in compliance with many state and federal guidelines, given the current environment with COVID-19, we have implemented new safety protocols. You may see some new processes when it is time for your next appointment. Please be assured that we have made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:

  • You will be asked screening questions both before your appointment & after arriving in the office.

  • You may notice that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines and other items that are difficult to clean.

  • You may be offered fewer scheduling options for your appointment in order to allow for physical distancing between patients.

  • You will be asked to wear a face mask at all times in the office when not receiving treatment.

  • We will be doing temperature screenings when you arrive at every appointment.

  • You will be asked to wash your hands with soap & water or hand sanitizer after you enter the office.

  • You will be asked to rinse with a hydrogen peroxide solution in the office just before you are seen by our team to help minimize viral load in the oral environment.

  • We are using fans to direct airflow towards our new Air Purifiers w/ True HEPA filters in the back of every operatory. Please bring a jacket or sweater, as needed, as it may be a bit cooler in the rooms.

  • You will notice us wearing advanced personal protective equipment in the treatment operatories - it may be harder to see our faces but we promise we're still smiling underneath it all!

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have. To make an appointment, please call our office at 619-656-4343.

Most of all, thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming your smiling faces back to our office!

-Dr. Josh and the Salt Creek Dental Team
